Please help us raise money and awareness for men’s mental health in memory of our beloved Ben.
Ben faced mental health challenges, but they never defined who he was. He will always be remembered for his kindness, intelligence, determination and the love he gave to everyone around him. He was hardworking, deeply caring, and took great pride in his career as a Global Commercial Finance Manager in London. He loved travelling, embraced new experiences, and no matter what was going on beneath the surface, he was always the one with the biggest smile.
Georgina, Oliver, Fleur and Jas will take on the National Three Peaks Challenge in 24 hours to raise money for Men’s Minds Matter, a charity dedicated to preventing suicide and supporting men in psychological crisis.
Around 75% of all deaths by suicide are male, and a man or boy dies by suicide every two hours in the UK. Suicide is the leading cause of death for men under 55.
Ben died following his first episode of psychosis, a devastating mental health condition that can completely alter a person’s thoughts, perceptions and sense of reality. Until it touched our lives, none of us understood psychosis or how serious it could be.
The Ben we knew and loved was so much more than the illness he experienced during that time.
His loss has shown us how vital it is that people experiencing severe mental illness receive timely, compassionate and specialist care when they need it most.
By taking on this challenge, we want to honour Ben’s memory, raise awareness of men’s mental health, and support the vital work of Men’s Minds Matter so more boys/men can access the help they need before reaching crisis point.
Every donation will help make a difference.
Forever Loved. Forever Missed. Forever Our Ben.
