Urgent help needed to buy warm winter bedding

Can you help us raise £5000 to buy much needed warm bedding and other essential items for people who come to the Todmorden Food Drop In for support? The last couple of years has been really difficult for people with the cost of living crisis – increased food prices and high fuel bills. The hard choice of whether to heat or eat will be a reality for many people in the Valley and winter is just round the corner.

We are already seeing more requests for bedding as the weather starts to change. Many of the people who come for help are families with children who are really going to struggle in the cold months. And so too are the older people and pensioners who come to us. Warm bedding and clothing is vital for all.

We know that £5000 is a big ask. Can you help us? The foodbank itself has been under increasing pressure as a result of higher food prices and increased numbers coming for help. We really do need whatever help we can get from you, the public – no matter how small. Please give what you can, if you are able to. The people of the Valley have always responded well to or appeals, even when things are tough for everyone.
