Help us launch Urban Forest School at Hanover!

At Hanover, we love outdoor learning. We know that being outside, particularly in a natural setting, is good for children’s health, wellbeing and learning. We have found out about an exciting opportunity to build on what we already do - but in order for this to happen, we need your help. 

Forest School sessions are being developed in our local park at Graham Street. They are run by a charity called The Garden Classroom, a specialist provider in outdoor learning. They have an engaging, child-led approach which helps children develop confidence, resilience and a deeper connection to nature. More information here.

Our ambition is to offer Forest School sessions for all children in Nursery, Reception and Year 1 from September in Graham Street Park.

However, the total cost of running the programme across all three classes is £3,500. Unfortunately, we are unable to cover this through the school’s core budget.
