Welcome to Kool Carers south east Ltd.

We are a young Carers charity that supports 150 local children from the ages of 8-18yrs. Our young carers look after family members with physical, invisible, neurodiverse and mental health disabilities, as well as alcohol & drug misuse. Our young carers can be greatly affected by their demanding roles which can cause them to become isolated as they cannot leave the people they care for. The children may struggle attending school, they may get bullied when they do attend school, they also struggle to maintain friendships and may suffer with their mental health due to the exposure of their family members health conditions & declines.

With Kool Carers they receive fortnightly respite sessions from their caring responsibilities where they can engage in fun activities, meet like minded individuals, make new friendships and learn life skills such as resilience, confidence and engagement.

We also support the family unit by offering counselling, advocacy, mentoring and group work including mental health & emotional wellbeing and parenting groups.

Funding has been hard this year so, we are being creative by running raffles and fun fundraising activities. But we cant do this without your help.
