I am fundraising for Gendered Intelligence as their goal is to make life better for trans people in the UK. This is such important work and there is still so much more to be done.
Stonewall reports that:
51% if trans people have hidden or disguised the fact that they are LGBTQ+ at work because they were afraid of discrimination.
41% of trans people have experienced a hate crime or incident because of their gender identity in the last 12 months.
40% of trans people adjust the way they dress because they fear discrimination or harassment.
25% of trans people have experienced homelessness at some point in their lives. Gendered Intelligence help by providing professional and educational services, youth and communities services, and public engagement.
Gendered Intelligence's vision of a world where diverse gender expressions are visible and valued, and where trans, non-binary, gender diverse and gender questioning people live healthy, safe and fulfilled lives is one that we should help work towards.
