Bath to Newbury Cycle in aid of Loose Ends Newbury
My fundraising event is a sponsored cycle ride from Bath to Newbury, a distance of about 100km along the National Cycle Route No 4. I'll be riding my 40 years old vintage bike! I'm anticipating that others might join me!
I'll be raising money for Loose Ends Newbury, for whom my wife Gill is a volunteer and Trustee. I am aware, through her, of the hugely valuable service that Loose Ends provides to the homeless, disadvantaged and vulnerable in Newbury. It is a charity that is run solely by unpaid volunteers, and that relies on donations and support from the local community. They are facing substantial costs in connection with an imminent enforced relocation, which will seriously deplete their funds. I am looking to raise monies to help them meet the running costs from their new premises, so that they can continue to provide hot food, friendly support and other essentials to people who are homeless and vulnerable in Newbury.
Well done Andy
Well done Andy!
Well, I completed the ride, along with Alan, Alex & Stu, to whom my deep thanks for their fantastic support. The welcome party at the finish line was heart-warming. Huge thanks to everyone!
