Families United Network is a charity based in Luton, Bedfordshire that is very close to our hearts and we have been involved with them for 6 years. Julia is on the Board and is Vice Chair. Our son Cameron has a rare syndrome - M-CM Syndrome with right sided hemi-hypertrophy, ASD, ADHD, OCD and the charity has been absolutely brilliant in every way for our family. He has had the benefit of attending Holiday Clubs during these years and more recently accesses a Youth Club weekly, and a Saturday club fortnightly which is helping massively with his independence and confidence. The charity supports about 350 families in Bedfordshire and is continuously growing. 7 months ago the charity moved into its own building and its been full steam ahead with getting funding in to renovate the building so that its suitable for the membership. For the first time at Easter the doors will open for holiday club but we still have lots of fundraising to do to be able to kit out all the rooms etc The Chequers at Westoning is a great pub, and from October 2015 we became their nominated charity for 12 months, so every time they hold a charity event its FUN that they are raising money for. They are doing great at all their events and the next event on their calendar is : The Chequers Charity Marathon - Monday 2nd May 2016 I have signed up and paid my £20 to run a mile and will actually be bringing the baton across the finish line with Cameron. There will be 26 runners in total each covering 1 mile of the marathon. Please if you can consider sponsoring me that would be great - any amount makes a difference to FUN and all its members. Big thanks for taking the time to read this :-) Brian
