In 2013 my youngest brother, Aidan, was diagnosed with leukaemia. Unfortunately, he passed away 12 months later, on the 12th June 2014.
During this time he spent over half of it on the wards at QA hospital. His only complaint while there was, “I’m bored.” After his death, my parent’s set up Aidan’s Activity Fund in his memory. In the last 2 years they have raised enough money to become a registered charity, but more importantly, have provided over £3000’s worth of items for the children’s wards, these range from colouring books and pens, to DVD players, TV’s and Tablets.
This year, on Aidan’s second anniversary I am going to abseil down the Spinnaker tower. I hope to be able to raise enough money for Aidan’s Activity Fund to continue their vital work supporting the children at QA.
I know Aidan will be looking down and laughing at me, as he knows I am terrified of heights.
The abseil will take place on the 12th of June 2016 at 11oclock so feel free to come and watch me jump off the Spinnaker Tower!
Thank you for your support.
Callum.
