We are taking part in a challenging sailing race in our 30 year old Hunter Pilot 27 sailing boat "Carinae" to raise money for a great cause. Horizons is a children’s sailing charity based in Plymouth that provides inclusive sailing and watersports opportunities for young people, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds or with additional needs. Through activities such as sailing, motorboating, school projects and youth clubs, Horizons helps young people build confidence, develop teamwork and problem-solving skills, and improve their wellbeing through time on the water. Many of the sessions are free or heavily subsidised to ensure that cost is never a barrier to participation, helping over 1,000 young people access life-changing experiences each year.
