The drop-in centre provides immediate, practical support for young people who often struggle to access services at the point they need help. Staff support with housing, benefits, food, travel, debt, mental health, addiction, counselling referrals, employment and day-to-day wellbeing.
For many young people, the service provides a consistent point of contact during periods of housing instability, poor mental health or financial difficulty.
A permanent centre would improve service continuity, give young people a reliable place to attend and allow Carlisle Key to plan delivery over the longer term without uncertainty about premises.
