The last few years have seen uprisings, occupations, riots and new alternatives. But where are we now? How are we responding in Leeds? On 27th October people came to Tidal's annual conference, 'Crisis Opportunity?', to spend a day with two questions: How can we thrive in a time of crisis and where are the opportunities for resistance? Activists from across Leeds and beyond attended four of thirteen workshops, heard from twenty two contributors and be inspired by 86 other participants. Phew!
Why they need our serviceThe day was a chance to be inspired by global examples of people taking action to make a better future.
Plan and expected resultsWe looked at new ways of taking on global justice issues. We reflected on past campaigns and struggles in Leeds and beyond and plan for the future. We also got a bit arty and had a good old friendly natter.
