WE DID IT!!!
Kirstie, Emmi and I completed the 5km Santa Run at Victoria Park in aid of Families United Network in a great time of just under 40 minutes!!
Unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances Helen and Lisa couldn't make it on the day but they were there I spirit along with our support group Georgia, Daisy, Lilli, Poppy and Kirstie's mum!
The weather wasn't exactly kind and at one point we must of looked like drowned rats as the heavens opened but it was actually quite refreshing whilst running around in our 'one size fits all' humungous Santa suits!
We're overwhelmed but the support we've received and on behalf of the great charity we're supporting (see below for more info) want to say a massive THANK YOU!!

So, The Dhelk's (Donna, Helen, Emmi, Lisa & Kirstie) have signed up to do the 5km Santa Run!
Families United Network is a charity close to all of our hearts.
"Bringing up children and young people with disabilities and special needs can be demanding as well as rewarding. Some children may present particular challenges or require intensive care and support.
The Holiday Clubs (which we all attend) are a lifeline and offer practical support for families, offering friendship and support for parents & carers – and a range of creative, stimulating and FUN activities for special needs children and young people and their siblings."
This is just one of the invaluable services the charity provides. The staff and volunteers are amazing and we are hoping that by running 5km around Victoria Park, London on Sunday 7th December 2014, we can raise some vital funds!
I (Donna), can barely run for a bus these days, so even though this isn't a marathon, trek up a mountain or cycle ride to Paris, it will still be a challenge and hopefully FUN!
So dig deep people, please give whatever you can and help us achieve our target!
