At Morrello Marvels we are passionate about enhancing the lives of people with neurological conditions by enabling access to inclusive exercise and participation in sporting activities to help them lead healthy and active lives.
Many people with neurological conditions experience certain challenges including mobility and communication limitations which can significantly influence a person's sense of identity and confidence. The effects of reduced self-esteem are far-reaching and can detrimentally impact a person's ability to engage in social activities or pursue education or career opportunities.
With our latest fundraiser, we are literally taking steps to a healthier community. We are aiming to raise £150,000 over 3 years to obtain the use of an Exomotus M4 gait Robot (the EXO). This robotic device helps people with neurological conditions experience walking after an injury such as spinal cord injury (SCI) ,Stroke, Guillan Barre Syndrome (GBS), Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) and other neurological conditions.
With successful fundraising, the money raised will cover the hire and maintenance costs of the EXO over a 3-year period. We plan to make the EXO available to people in the community who will benefit most from its regular use in their rehabilitation or maintaining their physical ability at no or little extra equipment costs.
