This September 5 members of Gillingham District Wheelers are doing the LeJog challenge - Land's End to John O'Groats (970 miles / 1,500 km) in 9 days. We are all keen cyclists, but 9 days of cycling is a challenge for anyone, it's far more miles than I've ever done and probably more than I usually do in a month!
Whilst this isn't a charity entry, we'd love to raise some money for a worthwhile local cause: Wheels for All.
Wheels for all helps those less able to ride bikes through the use of adapted bikes and trikes. It is one of my favourite charities as it's right in the heart of the Somerset & Bath cycling community - run by wonderful local people/cyclists & allows anyone to be able to cycle and feel the support of a group, something anyone who loves to ride bikes can appreciate.
