We are inviting people to join us between 7-9pm on Tuesday 29th October for a 'Spookathon' at Castle Hill Community Centre, Highfield Road, Ipswich IP1 6DG.
Sharing books and stories is such a lovely thing to do, and not many adults get the opportunity to have a story read out loud to them.
The Spookathon will be an evening of scary stories and tales of terror told out loud by Got to Read students, volunteers and supporters. We hope that you will sponsor all of our readers in their reading challenge to help raise funds for Got to Read.
Got to Read volunteers give one to one support to adults who want to improve their reading and writing skills. The service is especially helpful to anyone who wants to start from the beginning with reading and doesn't have the confidence or basic skills to attend group classes.
For many students, working with a Got to Read volunteer has already helped them achieve the first steps with reading, making a difference to their every day lives and opening up all sorts of opportunities.
We are fund raising for Got to Read so that we can offer the opportunity to get started and build confidence with reading to many more adults in Suffolk.
