About
I am taking on the almighty challenge of the Hebridean Way!!  I am attempting to walk the length of this spectacular archipelago - 156 miles (252km) covering 10 islands and crossing 6 causeways.  I will be starting on Vatersay and ending in Stornoway, a challenging route for the average person, let alone a mature, well rounded man in his 50's with knackered carpet fitting knees! Some of the terrain is as rugged as anywhere else in Scotland and the weather in the Outer Hebrides is famously changeable!

During the school holidays, Youth Works run fun filled holiday clubs for children aged 5 years to 11 years. Through my efforts, I am hoping to raise the princely sum of £5,000 to enable Youth Works to offer free holiday club places for disadvantaged local young people.
