About

Ian Scott (67) is the finance and fundraising volunteer officer for Bumps & Beyond and is setting out on a tough personal challenge to trek the Lobuche peak (6119M or 20,075' ) and then an ice, rock and snow climb of Ama Dablam (6812M or 22,349') in Nepal, Himalayas in October and November for Bumps & Beyond. The summit of Ama Dablam is a massive challenge requiring months of fitness training before leaving for 28 days on October 24th.

Bumps and Beyond is a registered charity supporting parents and caregivers during and after pregnancy by equipping them and their children with a full range of donated clothing items, equipment and essential healthcare items. The charity operates in Stamford, Lincolnshire and surrounding areas. 100% of any donation from the climb will go to Bumps & Beyond as the full cost of the expedition, travel, training, kit and expenses are being met personally.

Ian works as an equestrian sports commentator and is married to Alice (chairperson for Bumps & Beyond) with two children and 3 grandchildren, living in Yarwell, Peterborough.
