Stand With Families Across Swansea Bay

5–11 October 2026
This October, we’re inviting schools, businesses, community groups, sports clubs, faith groups and organisations across Swansea Bay and beyond to stand with local children and families.
Poverty isn’t always visible. It can affect our neighbours, colleagues, friends and the children sitting beside one another in classrooms.

Hugs Not Handouts is about solidarity, not sympathy.
For one week, we want to create a huge visible wave of blue, yellow and red across our communities, showing families that they are seen, supported and valued.

  There’s no cost to take part and fundraising is completely optional. The most important thing is standing together and helping us start conversations about poverty, kindness, dignity and community.
