Walking a marathon for Cardiff Food Bank
This is Jacob. It was his 13th birthday on Tuesday, October 27th. He had been placed in self-isolation since the previous week as a close contact of a confirmed Covid-19 case, so was confined to the house.
On Wednesday, October 28th, he started walking laps of our garden to raise money for Cardiff Food Bank, because he is worried about families going hungry at this difficult time. His aim was to complete a marathon. By Monday, November 2, he had walked 45.6k in total, having crossed the garden 3,000 times for 1,500 laps.
