The Baobab Centre for young survivors in exile do incredible work supporting young child refugees in London. Through my mum who volunteered there for a number of years, I got a sense of the power of this community and the profound challenges that it faces. To mark her recent retirement, I ask you to donate to support the Baobab Centre https://baobabsurvivors.org/
This will be my first London marathon. I qualified for this place by running the Abingdon marathon in 2018 and finally after several years of cancelled events due to Covid and subsequent deferments, I will finally be running the London Marathon in 2023!
