Jo's Notts Half Marathon Run

Hello All I said I wasn't going to do any more half marathons, or another marathon but ...here we go again! I have recently become a trustee of Home Start in Newark and I am also one of their home volunteers. I am committed to raising some money for the vital work which Home Start do in my local community. Fundraising is incredibly difficult for small charities and especially hard when facing funding challenges. So if anyone would like to join me in raising money for Home Start Newark, then please donate or set up your own local giving page. So a bit about the charity... We provide support, friendship and guidance to families who are going through crisis, that could be families dealing with post natal depression, domestic violence, isolation, financial difficulties and a whole range of other issues. We train volunteers to go into the home to provide the support. We also run 2 playgroup sessions in Newark, for families and children to get together and play. What your donation could provide: £5 - enough to provide 1 visit to a family by a trained volunteer £10 - initial visit to a family by a senior organiser £20 - to help train new volunteers on our prep course. Please help families to overcome their difficulties and provide a happy and bright future for their children. Thank you xx
