Katrina's Lands End to John O'Groats Challenge

I am walking the length of the UK, a 1,083 mile (1,743 km) road trip from Lands End to John O’Groats to raise money for Sea Trust Wales' Porpoise Project Appeal. 

This challenge gives me the perfect reason to get out and keep exercising. I have always loved walking and whilst the UK is in lockdown I might as well put that time to good use and raise money for a good cause. I visit Pembrokeshire every year and have fallen in love the harbour porpoises of the area. My daughter Holly Dunn is the project officer for the porpoise project, so I see first hand how much work goes into the project and how much of a difference it is making. The porpoise project does such great work, constantly learning new things about the species and helping with their conservation. Porpoises often get overlooked for the bigger, more showy dolphins, but they are just as important and the porpoise project reminds us of that. 

Due to coronavirus pandemic, the project has lost a huge chunk of it's funding and may not be able to continue. The money from this fundraiser will go towards the continuation of the project including securing Holly's job, so she can continue her ground-breaking research on the harbour porpoises.
