We are very excited that Kingston Charitable Foundation has two boats in the iconic Kingston Dragon Boat Challenge on 16th July 2023.

Team 'Kingston Charitable Foundation' will consist of two boats, men's and women's, each with 16 paddlers and one drummer... all lead by Team Leader Peter Greenwood... the winning teams of course!

We are asking each fabulous team member to raise a minimum of £500. Your fundraising will directly support local people through our grants programme, through which we award grants borough-wide to charitable organisations that run projects and support local individuals and families, in our shared community.

Everyone is also invited to join us, to cheer our team on, and enjoy all the lovely activities on the day, such as children’s funfair rides, food vendors and market stalls; we'll be at Canbury Gardens, Lower Ham Road from first thing in the morning.

There will be a professional race commentator and racing starts at 9.30 am - the day will conclude with a prize giving ceremony at the end of the day. This wonderful event is being brilliantly organised by the Rotary Club of Kingston.

To add to the fun, teams are encouraged to come in fancy dress (Pirates, Smurfs, Vikings, etc) and a prize will be awarded to the best dressed teams!

We look forward to seeing you there.

Do you know of a community group or charity that needs our help?

By awarding grants, Kingston Charitable Foundation enables community groups and small charities to continue to deliver much needed services and support.

We have a simple grant application process and a very friendly team that can help you if needed. We have recently extended our grants programme application criteria to include larger organisations, who would like to apply on behalf of individuals and families that use their services. Grants can be applied for up to 3 times a year by each organisation.

If you are a registered charity and would like to apply for a grant, or if you know a charitable organisation in the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames that you think we could support, please do get in touch.
