I am partially sighted and wholly cack-handed, and undertaking this challenge for WLW has meant that, for the first time since childhood, I have had swimming lessons. But if I manage to raise some funds for them, it will all have been worth it.
On the 19th Sept I'll be taking part in the Serpentine Swim and attempting to swim half a mile.
I volunteered for a year in the kitchens at West London Welcome, a charity that provides food, classes, support and advice for refugees and asylum seekers. In their kitchens, I learned not only how to make the perfect béchamel, but also the value of community and friendship.
So please help me help WLW raise funds to continue their vital work. Thank you!
