In April next year, I’ll be incredibly lucky to run the London Marathon. Without hesitation, I’ve decided to take on this challenge in memory of my best friend, Ethan, while raising money for the incredible team at Invictus Wellbeing.
Ethan sadly lost his life to suicide in 2019. From the day we lost him, I’ve made it my mission to make sure he is never forgotten. From yearly events and family meals, to creating a design in his memory that has travelled around the world, and even a local music festival, keeping Ethan’s memory alive has become incredibly important to me.
I’ll be running alongside thousands of people, each with their own story, and I cannot wait to experience everything that comes with this once in a lifetime opportunity. The training, the miles, the difficult days, and hopefully, the finish line.
I know Ethan will be with me every step of the way, probably laughing at yet another situation I’ve managed to put myself in!
Every penny raised will go directly to Invictus Wellbeing, helping them continue their vital work supporting the mental health of young people through counselling, clubs and other essential support.
My aim has always been to make people smile and keep Ethan’s memory alive. Over the years, that has grown into something more. I want to help make sure that young people who are struggling know that help is available and that they do not have to face it alone.
Thank you for supporting me, Ethan and Invictus Wellbeing. ❤️
