I will be running the Barcelona Marathon in honour of Joshua, raising money and awareness for men’s mental health.

2 British men take their own life every hour.

On 2nd July 2025 Joshua Edwards took his own life, becoming part of that statistic. Joshua was only 22 years old. Joshua had his whole life in front of him, he had plans, for the future and had recently been promoted at work. He was surrounded by the love of his family and friends, no one saw this coming. No parent should have to grieve their only child.

Joshua was such a compassionate, kind and generous young man. He was a massive support to his close friends, he would constantly encourage them and help to build their self-belief. Since his passing they have acknowledged that they are better people because of him. He had regularly given his friends money to help them in difficult situations, never expecting the money back or anything in return.

His friends are torn up because they feel that they should have known there was something wrong. They should have supported him like he had them, but how could they when no one saw this coming.
