My name is Roisin and to celebrate the 10th birthday of Sunshines and Smiles I am swimming 10 km to raise money for the charity.
I will have to complete the 10 km by November and I will be doing this at my local pool and Henshaw's College.
What makes this particularly challenging for me is that I have Down syndrome, cerebral palsy and autism. So this will tough, but I love swimming!
Sunshines and Smiles has provided me with the opportunity to work in their cafe, speech and language lessons, and lots of other activities! This charity is an amazing network of support for families with a child with Down syndrome.
