Our next challenge is the Brighton Fringe!
Please sponsor The Tale of the Pig to help fund 4 performances of The Tale of the Pig at The Warren: Main House at 2pm on the 27th, 28th, 30th and 31st May.
Here is a bit about The Tale of the Pig project:
I am on the production team for The Tale of the Pig. Being involved in The Tale of the Pig project has been an awe-inspiring journey. Over the months of preparation I caught glimpses of workshops and rehearsals where beautiful props and masks were being hand-made and I heard the wonderful music David Brett composed for the play and suddenly I realised I was part of something important. The atmosphere is so full of caring and zest and joy and brilliance- it spills over into the play.
The Director- Vasile Nedelcu is nothing short of true genius- he captures something unique and authentic and the result is simply mesmerising.
This isn't a project where people with disabilities are being 'helped' to do something- it's an environment where everyone has something of real value to offer and the trust and companionship which has grown between everyone in the cast is wonderful. The professional actors and musicians have brought their years of experience and expertise to bear and the acting and songs are brilliant.
The wonderful thing about watching the play so many times is that I can see how it has grown. Vasile and the cast are never content to leave things as they are- it's always fresh with new props and impromptu jokes. As 'Have I got News for You' Director, Paul Wheeler said 'This show is truly beautiful- Wonderfully creative and imaginative, It makes you laugh and cry along the way. A 'must see' that warms the heart and gives hope for humanity.'
The Tale of the Pig has had many highly successful performances since last September. We are very exited about performing at the Brighton Fringe and we have even been short-listed for the Camp Bestival Award- if you see us, vote for us!
