Vacancy: Grants Manager (Scotland)

Localgiving is advertising for one full-time role, based in the South of Scotland, focused on launching new grant programmes, specifically Grassroots funding (microgrants up to £20k). The deadline is 12noon on 12th October.

Localgiving is delivering Community Benefit Funds in partnership with SP Energy Networks. Grants will be offered for 5+ years to areas hosting energy upgrade projects and are an exciting opportunity for communities to receive large boosts in funding.

Localgiving is an experienced grant distributor, as well as an online fundraising platform that offers fundraising support and AI tools for charitable organisations across the UK. We have been leading a pilot grant programme with SP Energy Networks across late 2025-summer 2026, focused on Grassroots funding. This has significantly built our local knowledge of the communities involved. Our established relationship with the funder ensures that we are ready to hit the ground running with these new grant programmes. 

The roles will be supported by a very experienced team across the UK, who work closely together across numerous projects. Localgiving is a highly flexible employer that values hardworking individuals. Colleagues will semi-regularly travel to meet in-person in Scotland, as well as fully involving new staff in team days in other areas of the UK, such as central London. Localgiving’s Regional Development Manager, Lauren Swain will be leading the partnership with SP Energy Networks and fully supporting new staff in their work. 

The job descriptions are detailed, covering all aspects of the work across the six years of the project. Localgiving will fully equip new staff to undertake these tasks - please do not be put off from applying if you feel familiar with some of these responsibilities but not all. We are primarily looking for individuals who are comfortable delivering high quality workshops, reporting on a variety of research into local needs, scoring applications or who are familiar with the charity sector. It is essential that applicants have access to a vehicle and a full driving licence, as well as being happy to undertake solo occasional travel across the South of Scotland. These will include helping communities develop plans/applications, talking with local businesses and undertaking monitoring visits.
