We searched 200+ UK funders for your charity, so you don’t have to.

"The signal-to-noise ratio of manual funder search is brutal. And we know this process can increase stress levels and put a big dent in confidence and morale."

Most UK charity fundraisers spend 2–3 hours a week searching for new grants and funds to apply for. Most of that time is wasted. The funders are closed, the criteria don't fit, the geography is wrong, or you applied last year and must wait 12 months to find the result.

The signal-to-noise ratio of manual funder search is brutal. And we know this process can increase stress levels and put a big dent in confidence and morale. So, as we like to do at Localgiving, we have worked hard to find a solution for you and your organisation. And we came up with doing the searching for you through our AI Toolkit.

How the match works

After you have signed up to Localgiving (and you can do so with our 14-day free trial), our AI runs a 60-second profile build:

  • We pull your basic details from the Charity Commission register: income band, classification, geography.
  • We cross-reference 360Giving's grants database — 1.47 million UK grants from 358 funders — for charities like yours.
  • We filter for funders currently open, with matching criteria, in your geography, with an award size that fits your typical project.
  • We rank by historic award rate for charities like yours.

You see your top 12 matches before you do anything else. No login wall, no setup wizard. Just the matches.

What the matches look like

We're not going to surface the National Lottery Community Fund or Comic Relief — you already know about those. The matches are the funders you should know about but don't:

  • Regional community foundations that fund your specific local authority
  • Trusts that specifically fund your sector at your income band
  • Corporate funders open this quarter that fit your project type
  • Funders who have made similar awards in the last 12 months but aren't on the usual lists

Each match comes with: the funder's typical award size, what they fund, recent grantees (so you can see if you fit), the deadline if there is one, and a one-click route to start drafting an application.

Then we draft the application for you

Once you pick a match, the AI bid writer drafts the first 80% of your application in your charity's voice. It pulls from your charity profile, our funder intelligence, and structures the answers to match the funder's published priorities.

You review, edit the bits only you can write (specific project detail, latest impact numbers), and submit. Typical time saved per application: 4 hours.

We rerun the match weekly

New funder rounds open every week. We rerun your match weekly and email you the new ones. So even if today's 12 matches don't land you a grant, by next month you'll have seen 30–40 funders specifically matched to your charity.
