Local Hero 2019 will run throughout April 2019. This campaign will pit athletes against artists, clowns against dare-devils. During the competition fundraisers will be ranked on the Local Hero leaderboard according to the number of unique online donors who sponsor their page.
The top 20 fundraisers will be given prizes ranging from £100 to £1,000. Overall, £5,000 in prizes will be distributed among the causes supported by the top 20 fundraisers.
2018 was a hugely exciting year for Localgiving.
In 12 months we raised over £4 Million for over 2000 local charities and community groups; we expanded our Magic Little Grants programme - providing 430 grants worth £215k; offered essential digital skills training, and continued to advocate for the local voluntary sector as a whole. This short video covers some of our highlights.
Of course, at Localgiving we never rest on our laurels. This is why we have already announced our next campaign, Local Hero, kicking off on 1st April. Another great opportunity to bring in funds for a local charity or community group you love.
