We offer advice and support to women and girls who have been affected by domestic abuse.

Newcastle Women's Aid provides specialist support services to women and girls who have been affected by domestic abuse. Support includes, practical and emotional support, Domestic Abuse Floating Support, one-to-one work and group work, which focuses on recovery and staying safe. We have a confidential Freephone Domestic Abuse Helpline which operates 9am - 4.30pm Monday to Friday (0800 923 2622) We aim to reduce incidents of domestic abuse and to empower women and children to live free from fear.

Why the community needs us

The need for our services is identified by women, children and young people who access our services. We work alongside a range of services and agencies including children's social care, health, police, education and housing to ensure women and their children have access to essential services.
