Unlocking the power of our community

We’re a community foundation for Kirklees. This means we do things a little differently. By collaborating with local charities and organisations, we can listen to the needs of people in Kirklees, from cost-of-living concerns, to creating green spaces and more. We then distribute funding to local charities and community organisations – for specialist projects, or to just keep the lights on.

This year has been nothing short of extraordinary, despite the immense challenges posed by the cost of living crisis. Our staff and volunteers have demonstrated dedication and exceptional skill, working tirelessly to ensure every donated penny makes the greatest possible impact in our local communities.

Community groups have been the backbone of our response, playing a crucial role in ensuring that local people receive the support they need.
