A Neurodivergent-led, affirming not-for-profit that supports neurodivergent people. Changing life chances and outcomes and creating “A World For Difference”
Stak.life was born from every parent’s worst nightmare: the loss of our child.
Our son, Stefan, was kind, funny and full of love. A proud Thanet boy, he was just 15 when relentless bullying at his Saturday job, because he was autistic, began to break him. As his mental health declined, he reached out for help, but the services meant to protect him were not there when he needed them most.
Stefan died by suicide, carrying the crushing weight of being judged for being different, a weight no child should ever bear.
We created Stak.life not because we wanted to, but because we had to. We could not allow his death to be in vain.
Today, Stak.life is a peer-led, not-for-profit organisation supporting the mental health, wellbeing, and suicide prevention of neurodivergent young people in Thanet. Everything we do is grounded in lived experience and driven by one simple promise:
No other family should lose a child because they were different or unsupported.
We stand alongside families, running courses that build identity, confidence, and connection; offering advice, support, and safe spaces; delivering training so professionals truly understand autistic lives; and we lead suicide prevention work that saves lives.
We are now raising funds to launch a specialist counselling service for neurodivergent teenagers in Thanet. early, accessible support before crisis.
