This August, between the 2nd and 7th (date is weather dependant), we will be taking on the challenge of hiking up Mount Snowdon to help raise funds for neurodivergent young people struggling with their mental health here in Thanet.
We wanted to do something meaningful that could make a real difference to a young person’s life. Too many neurodivergent young people are facing anxiety, isolation, burnout, bullying, trauma, and poor mental health, often without access to the right support when they need it most.
Our aim is to raise enough money to sponsor a programme of specialist counselling for a neurodivergent young person in Thanet who may otherwise struggle to access suitable support. We know how important early understanding, acceptance, and neuro-affirming support can be, especially during times of crisis.
All funds raised will be donated directly into the new counselling and mental health support programme run by STAK.life CIC — a Thanet-based, neurodivergent-led organisation supporting neurodivergent individuals and families through advocacy, training, peer support, and suicide prevention work.
STAK.life was founded following the devastating loss of autistic teenager Stefan, and their mission is to help ensure that no young person feels alone, unheard, or unsupported.
Their counselling programme is funded “By Community, For Community”, helping local people support local young people in a safe, understanding, and genuinely neuro-affirming way.
Please give generously and support us in supporting our community. Every donation, no matter how big or small, will help us move closer to funding life-changing support for a young person who truly needs it.
Thank you so much for supporting us, supporting STAK.life, and supporting neurodivergent young people in Thanet.
