To celebrate the distribution of our 3000th newborn starter pack, Baby Basics Northampton is launching a campaign to raise £3,000 to provide essentials to vulnerable new parents and babies across Northamptonshire.
We've seen a huge increase in demand for our services in recent years – since 2020 there has been a 97% increase in referrals. Our staff and volunteers are busier than ever!
New data now shows 1 in 16 babies born in the county receive one of our starter packs. That's around two children per school class that we've helped.
The starter packs comprise of moses baskets and baby baths packed full of essential items for the newborn stage such as baby clothes, blankets, nappies, wipes, toiletries and soft toys.
Those we support include new parents facing financial difficulties, families struggling with housing issues, domestic violence victims and refugees.
£3,000 would make a huge difference to these families and enable us a charity to ensure no family-in-need slips through the net.
We're asking our incredibly supportive community to help us reach this target by the end of July 2025. If you are in a position to be able to donate money (of any amount) it will be greatly appreciated. You can also help us by sharing this campaign on your social media and spreading the word about our cause. Thank you so much!
