With just 19 days to go, our Seriously Brutal challenge has taken an unexpected turn.
Our original challenger, Chris Duncan, has sadly had to pull out due to unforeseen family circumstances. We send Chris and his family our very best wishes.
That left us with one big question: who would be willing to step in at such short notice and take on this enormous challenge?
George did.
George is a lifeguard at Jubilee Pool. His job is normally about looking out for others, but when he heard we needed someone to take Chris’s place, he stepped forward.
And this is no ordinary challenge. George will take on the Mawr Duathlon:
15-mile run – 3 laps around the lake
116-mile road bike – 4 laps
9-mile ascent and descent of Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon)
That’s around 140 miles of running, cycling and climbing, with only 19 days to prepare and raise sponsorship.
George has shown incredible commitment by saying YES when we needed him. Now we need our community to get behind him.
Every donation will support Friends of Jubilee Pool and help make George’s huge effort worthwhile.
Whether it’s £5, £10, £20 or more, every donation counts. If you can’t donate, simply sharing George’s challenge can make a real difference too.
19 days. Around 140 miles. One Seriously Brutal challenge.
George has stepped up for Jubilee Pool. Now let’s step up for George. Please sponsor him today!
