This Sunday, Neil and I are taking on our biggest challenge yet: an 18-mile trail run! 🏃♀️🏃♂️
We’ve decided to use this event to raise money for a cause that is incredibly close to my heart. Those who know me well know that I’ve started studying for my degree to become a counsellor, and alongside my studies, I am so pleased to share that I'm starting to volunteer for Kernos.
Kernos is a wonderful charity dedicated to making counselling accessible to everyone in our community. It is such an important lifeline that we really need to take care of and support. As many of you know, our Harrison is on his own journey right now, and even when trying to seek support for him, our GP advised us to reach out to Kernos.
But that is not the only reason we want to raise money for them. My nearest and dearest will know that my journey from childhood into my teenage years had its own significant challenges. And then in adulthood, I've navigated ectopic pregnancies, losing my mum, & battling PND. Without the power of counselling and the unwavering support of my friends, family, & of course, Neil who knows where I would be.
It breaks my heart to think of anyone navigating those dark spaces feeling isolated, without a network of friends and family around them. It makes accessible services like Kernos absolutely vital.
So, I would be HUGELY grateful if you could spare even the tiniest of donations to help us support them. Every single penny counts and will keep us pushing through those 18 miles!
And who knows, if I manage to raise enough money, Neil might even actually run with me 🤣 iykyk.
Thank you so much for your support!
Lots of love,
Tash & Neil
