Conductive Education Bristol do incredible work helping children with motor disorders overcome obstacles in their day-to-day life. So, we (Louise, Sarah & Natalie) thought we'd challenge ourselves with our own obstacle - the Bath Half!! Your support will help us motivate ourselves to train, keep going and get over that finish line!!
We are 3 novice runners with a passion for helping children like Louise's daughter Tilly to achieve their potential. Born with a rare chromosome disorder, Tilly later suffered a rare, acquired brain injury, both of which affect her mobility, speech, motor function, and cognitive ability. Therapies are expensive and accessible school holiday activities are few, but CE Bristol provides all this and more.
Support from friends & family is incredibly important and family friend Sarah has always been a champion of Tilly and is delighted to have the opportunity to help by raising as much money as possible for CE Bristol to keep these therapies and activities running.
And the driving force behind it all is the amazing Natalie, without whom none of these wonderful opportunities would be possible. Natalie started CE Bristol with a small parent and child group of 3 children in 2014. 12 years on, along with a therapy assistant, she supports over 25 families and young people through weekly group sessions, holiday therapy sessions, home visits, nursery & school visits and holiday activities for the whole family. With NHS services stretched further than ever before, families are in need of more input and support from organisations such as CE Bristol.
Please sponsor us if you can. Fundraising ensures CE Bristol's services remain available and affordable to all children, adults and families who can benefit from Conductive Education across Bristol, South Wales and the South West.
