We promise we are always all ears to Co-worker suggestions at The Prospects Trust and this week one of our Co-workers who has diabetes came up with his own unique way of raising awareness of his condition and many others. He wanted The Prospects Trust to do their bit to raise awareness of Diabetes Week and suggested a Cream Pie Face Off between Support Worker Maddie and Co-worker Manager Hannah. Its 50p a vote and you can pick Hannah or Maddie before 10am Tuesday 9th June 2026. The most votes cast will result in a big cream pie to the face- who is going to win (or should that be lose)?
8 out of 10 people living with diabetes say they’ve faced negative attitudes because of their diabetes - people passing judgement, making sweeping statements, or blaming and shaming people living with diabetes.
This is diabetes stigma. And it causes real harm to millions.
That’s why we’re on a mission to ‘Strike Out Stigma’.
To show people that nobody chooses diabetes. That it isn’t anyone’s fault. And that by changing the way we talk about diabetes, together we can create a world where diabetes does no harm.
