We've been providing refuge for 50 years in MK - Donate to the refuge fund

Residents at the MK Act domestic abuse refuge in Milton Keynes are those at the highest risk from the highest harm. Demand for refuge places is high and calls to our helpline continue to increase. We need your support to keep delivering our frontline services to those in the city affected by domestic abuse.

Please give what you can to help a woman to find safety and sleep at night without fear.

No one should be living in fear

Domestic abuse devastates families; the isolation, the financial control, physical and sexual abuse and controlling behaviour destroys the home and the family unit.

Women are twice as like to experience domestic abuse as men.*

The refuge is home to 28 women and usually around 45 children at any given time, from newborn babies to teenagers.

By donating today you can help us to offer sanctuary to those whose lives are in danger.

How your support helps

Times are really tough for the service and the residents, the current economic crisis is putting not just the service under immense pressure, but the rising cost of living is a barrier preventing refuge residents from accessing the life-saving service.

MK Act relies on the kindness and support of the Milton Keynes community to help people flee abuse and to keep survivors safe. Demand for the service is increasing month on month, we don’t want to turn anyone away, but the reality is, in order to provide support we need more donations to help us.

Our goal is to ensure that we can help as many people as possible.

Donate today

Every pound you donate will help us to continue providing safety and support services.
