On Sunday 14th June 2026, Kai, Ethan and I will be taking part in the Hike for Hope 3 Peak Challenge — a 16-mile hike across the Leicestershire Three Peaks — to raise funds for HBA Support.
~
HBA Support is a charity focused on brain aneurysms and families where there may be hereditary risk. Their work raises awareness, provides support, and helps families better understand conditions that can have a devastating impact.
~
We’re doing this in honour of my oldest cousin brother, Vijay Vandra, who has lived with the impact of a brain aneurysm for around 30 years.
~
Vijay was my best man, but more than that, growing up he was the man — a true family legend. Strong, funny, protective, and someone I always looked up to.
~
When I was younger, if anyone ever tried to hassle me, all I had to say was:
“I’m Vijay Vandra’s cousin.”
That was usually enough!
~
Vijay is blessed with a beautiful and caring family, and this journey has touched everyone who loves him. I especially want to honour his wife and children, who have been by his side day after day, carrying so much with love, strength and dedication. Their courage and devotion deserves to be recognised too.
~
Over the years, Vijay’s health has sadly deteriorated, and it is heartbreaking to see the impact this has had. But through everything he has faced, he still tries to smile.
~
A true legend!
~
We’ll be walking for Vijay, for his family, and for families like theirs.
~
Any donation, big or small, would mean so much. Please add Gift Aid if you’re eligible, as it increases the value of your donation at no extra cost to you.

Thank you.
