Cycling from Lands end to John O Groats to raise money to support Jubilee Community Pool in Knowle, South Bristol.
Can you sponsor me to cycle the length of the UK to raise funds to replace the swimming pool's roof?
From the 21st June to 9th July 2026 I will attempt to cycle unassisted from Lands end to John O Groats with the aim of raising money towards replacing the roof, installing solar panels and implementing energy efficiency measures to improve the pool and gym.
Jubilee pool is a much loved community-run pool in South Bristol.
It opened in 1937 and since then has been a hugely important part of people’s lives. It is part of the local history and contributes to South Bristol’s sense of community, serving as a hub where people can come together.
The pool was threatened with closure due to Council budget cuts between 2011 and 2022. Friends of Jubilee Pool is a group of passionate local volunteers who took on the immense challenge of taking the pool into community ownership. The hard work paid off and in October 2022 FoJP took over the running of the pool and became a registered charity.
