My name is Jack, and I’ll be running the London Marathon in memory of my incredible mum.
My mum was the kind of person who always put others before herself. She was loving, selfless, and completely devoted to her family. As an NHS worker, she worked tirelessly throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, caring for others during one of the most difficult times in our lives. She never asked for recognition—helping people was simply who she was.
Our world changed forever when she unexpectedly passed away from a brain aneurysm. There were no warning signs, and losing her so suddenly left a hole in our family that can never be filled.
I’m running this marathon to honour her life, her kindness, and the love she gave so freely. Every mile I run is for her.
I’m also hoping to raise awareness of brain aneurysms. They can happen without warning, yet they aren’t talked about nearly enough. If sharing my mum’s story helps even one person learn more or encourages more research and awareness, then her legacy will continue to make a difference.
Every donation, no matter how small, will help me support this cause and keep my mum’s memory alive. Thank you for supporting me, believing in this mission, and helping me turn heartbreak into hope.
This marathon is for you, Mum. I’ll carry you with me every step of the 26.2 miles. ❤️
