I wanted to challenge myself in 2026 and run a half marathon - what better way than to also raise money for a cause.
I’ve chosen to run for the Harmless charity, a UK centre of excellence for self harm and suicide prevention. Mental Health is affecting our communities in droves and Harmless look to offer support and lots of other services to people who self harm and their work extends to suicide prevention.
Harmless saves lives by providing support, information, training and consultancy about self harm to individuals who self harm, their friends, families and professionals. The sister service, The Tomorrow Project, works to support individuals and communities to prevent suicide, and offers support to those bereaved by suicide.
Please help support this wonderful cause and donate what is comfortable for you. I will be carrying all of you, and those we have lost by suicide, with me as I cross the finish line.
Below is some of the work made possible by every kind donation:
£25 Funds a client's initial assessment call
£50 Covers a community outreach stall, facilitating awareness and referrals
£100 Sponsors a 1 hour dedicated support session with an experienced therapist
£250 Provides equine-assisted therapy for up to 4 people, designed to support mental health, emotional resilience, and personal growth.
£750 Covers a full support package for someone in need. This consists of an assessment, six support sessions, resources and follow-up support.
