We will be riding the official Liverpool Chester Liverpool bike ride to raise money for SAVI which provide sports and physical activities for blind and visually impaired people in Merseyside. The SAVI tandem club is more than just a bike club - it's designed to be as inclusive as possible, so that more people can take part in outdoor physical activity, as part of a supportive social group.
Taking part in this ride is a challenge for those taking part, and a way to raise the money needed to do continue running two tandem rides a month, plus support all of the activities which SAVI does, such as baseball, goalball, boccia, and others.
Taking part in the LCL costs us £50 per tandem, and any additional money raised will go towards upkeep of the 24-strong fleet of donated tandems, plus buying kit, tools, and spare parts, so we can continue running the club.
Sun 12 Jul 2026
We will be riding the 25 or 50 mile official routes, from Liverpool city centre through the Birkenhead tunnel, and through the Wirral to Chester. Those riding the 50 mile route will also ride the whole way back again!
