The Mayor's Fundraiser for Promise Inclusion celebrates the belief that every person deserves the opportunity to belong, participate and thrive. By supporting Promise Inclusion, we are investing in a future where children and adults with learning disabilities and autism, together with their families and carers, have access to the support, confidence and opportunities they need to live fulfilling lives. Every pound raised helps turn inclusion from an aspiration into a reality.
Funds raised through the Mayor's Fundraiser help Promise Inclusion to:
Provide social, recreational and educational activities for children and adults with learning disabilities and autism.
Support families, carers and siblings through advice, guidance and respite opportunities.
Help individuals develop life skills, independence, self-esteem and confidence.
Reduce isolation and create opportunities for meaningful participation in the local community.
Ensure local families continue to receive specialist support when they need it most.
The impact of Promise Inclusion is felt every day by local families:
The charity supports around 1,000 people through its family membership and community services.
Its programmes help individuals gain independence, form friendships, learn new skills and enjoy experiences that many people take for granted.
Families and carers benefit from practical support, advice and a network that reduces loneliness and stress.
Community fundraising directly enables clubs, youth activities, family support services and learning opportunities that might otherwise not be available
