In November of last year, all focus in our lives was shifted when Zoe was admitted to hospital for 3 weeks and after many scans and tests was given a shock diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis. To see a wonderful, outgoing and upbeat mother and wife struck with such a devastating diagnosis and watching the symptoms take hold has been soul destroying to watch with her control and use of the left side of her body being hugely reduced. Although she puts a brave face on, the behind the scenes effects have been brutal. Since this diagnosis, we have had to watch many day to day tasks become a completely different challenge.
We have been so lucky to live close the Wessex MS Centre and for Zoe to be able to access treatment and care. Their amazing staff, hospitality and truly world class treatments have been a huge source of help for Zoe and all of us helping her to live with this diagnosis casting a huge cloud over the future. It is not a stretch to suggest that without their help, Zoe would not be in the fighting position she is in now.
To help this amazing centre continue its work, on the 25th July I have stupidly decided that launching myself out of a fully functioning Aircraft at 15,000 feet will help fund their amazing care and to add to the challenge, I have to shed 10kg in weight to be able to jump!! If you are able to spare anything at all to watch me fall through the air with all the grace of a falling house brick and watching me trying to resist delicious food, please donate anything you can to this amazing cause.
Thanks all!
