Nicky's Bald is Beautiful Charity Campaign

Hi, My Name is Nicky Heath and I run the Yeleni Therapy & Support Centre www.yelenisupport.co.uk, which is a cancer charity that offers anyone with any form of cancer 9 free complementary therapies and ongoing support via weekly classes. I have set myself the challenge of changing my identity through my hair, as I work with women and men who undergo radical changes to their appearance as a result of their cancer treatments. I am going to experience first hand how it feels to lose one's hair and how it changes your status in the world.I remember how my lovely sister in law Sandy hated wearing a wig when she lost her hair after her chemo. I also lost my dear brother Marky to cancer in 2016. He was so distressed when he started to lose his long hair. So this is for you Sandy & Marky Moo love you Nicky Noo xxx Stage 1 Tuesday June 5th I began my transformation by dyeing my hair BLUE, which is the Yeleni butterfly.It is certainly catching people's attention. Thanks to Ashley McArthur at Longhorn Hairdressing Hereford for the wonderful dye job. Stage 2 Sunday July 22nd at Nozstock festival www.nozstock.com I will shave all my hair off and go completely BALD!!! We run the healing area at the festival and hope to raise lots of donations with therapies and bucket collections. This is a lovely family festival so near Bromyard so do come along if you can, it runs from Friday 20th through to Sunday 22nd July. Stage 3 Have a henna tattoo all over my bald head!! Stage 4 As I wait for my hair to grow back I will endeavour to wear cute hats, natty headbands and generally have fun with making bald BEAUTIFUL!!
