Hello, its Charlie here!
I'm back up and running in the Nottingham Robin hood Half Marathon 2026!
This year I have the privilege of representing 'Harmless', a Nottinghamshire-based charity who provide a range of services about self harm and suicide including support, information, training and consultancy to people in need, their friends and families, and professionals. Their suicide prevention and suicide bereavement services are delivered through their sister service 'The Tomorrow Project'.
During 2012, Harmless established The Tomorrow Project in response to a number of deaths by suicide in and around the community of East Leake. The project grew directly from the needs of the community and now provides suicide crisis and suicide bereavement support to those in distress.
Harmless has earned positions on many groups of influence and currently hold an elected position to the NICE committee on self harm and The National Suicide Prevention Advisory Group to Government. Working closely with academics and policy makers, they believe that they have a responsibility to drive policy change and service delivery across the UK. With passion, commitment and expertise, they work to bring about a safer future for the people that they help and to represent their voices.
Your support and donations would be unbelievably appreciated with 100% of the funds raised going directly into specialist training in self-harm and suicide prevention. Simply having someone on the other end of the phone to talk too could help a person struggling feel as though their life matters and that there is light at the end of the tunnel.
Please don't hesitate to have a read through their website to see all the events and incredible volunteers that dedicate their time to make this charity possible.
Many many thanks!
Charlie
